In the serene Keem Bay on the west side of Achill Island, a pair of ravens make their home. Typically elusive and hard to spot, their haunting calls occasionally echo through the dark valley. Recently, these majestic birds have been seen more frequently, circling the skies over the bay and even coming to ground in search of food. Their presence adds a touch of wild beauty to these remote surroundings. My “Keem Bay Raven” sculpture tries to capture this essence, cast in bronze and further worked to achieve its final form.
